Welcome Part 1: Founder's Story

When I was growing up, I always thought that growing up in Tanzania, Africa was special. I still believe that. Though, some people may say otherwise, that it is relative to the part of the continent you grew up in or the family you were brought up in. That may be true; although, many common experiences are relevant across Africa. This is one of the experiences which I will never forget because reality taught me a lot and brought about appreciation, humbleness, integrity, and toughness in the person I became. And you will have to come to terms with the fact that you must respect others, especially elders.

However, growing up in Africa is not so far different from growing up anywhere else in the world. My childhood was formulated. I’d go to school; I’d attend church on Sunday’s followed by a family meal. I had the same struggles that the average kid growing up would normally experience. Living in the city, I had my high moments when I felt like I had everything I needed right there with me (second-hand shoes, a t-shirt from Europe or the US). Times when I enjoyed hearing the local music and sound of the traditional African drums. Low moments when I felt like hated the school system, the poverty and lack of prospects; and the need for adjustment. I have always been ambitious and urged for change.

As a young boy, I migrated to the United States hoping for better education and an abundance of opportunities to lead a fruitful life. Throughout this journey, I went through many ups and downs. My journey just like many has not been a simple journey but a counted progress one. I’m beyond grateful for all the support from many people throughout, most of them were strangers. I am forever deeply indebted to their sincere support.

"Richalandhub LLC's mission is to empower communities, especially women so they can achieve a sustainable future."

Now, I yearn to give back and pay forward. Seeing a need in the communities of my fellow veterans, local farmers in Tanzania, and communities across the globe, I am honored and blessed with this golden opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself.

In 2019, I launched RichlandHub LLC as an importer; retail and wholesale business, specializing in roasted, green Tanzanian coffee beans and cashews sourced directly from local farmers. Supporting local farmers with a passion, I firmly believe that commerce can thrive while still addressing the need to make a positive difference in communities across the world. The goal is to succeed and make a difference in the communities by working hard to provide value and the best produce to the customers.

Richalandhub LLC's mission is to empower communities, especially women so they can achieve a sustainable future. I firmly believe that the community members can be the solution to many of the challenges they face. Richalndhub's mission is not a charity mission rather a “Shari-ty” one, touching people's lives by way of sharing our destinies, everything we do is to enable the local communities to be proactive to their needs.
